LEARN ITALIAN COOKERY WITH A MASTER
Quick Details
Join the don of Italian cooking for an exclusive 3-hour class, with recipes from his new cookbook Cucina. ‘Cucina povera’ (poor kitchen) is the sort of cooking that traditionally fed the poorer communities in Italy, but it remains the basis of many much-loved Italian dishes today. Gennaro himself was brought up on cucina povera, and still cooks in this style!
To kick things off, you’ll enjoy a glass of bubbles while Gennaro demonstrates how to make his Polenta concia al forno (the most outrageously cheesy baked polenta) for you to try at our chef’s table. Next up, you’ll rustle up Pasta e piselli cremosi (creamy pasta with peas), before cracking on with your main course – Sgombro alla pizzaiola (mackerel fillets cooked in a tomato, caper and oregano sauce).
You’ll leave with a signed copy of Cucina, a full belly, and the ability to elevate humble ingredients and spend less, without compromising on flavour. Who doesn’t love that?
