Join Julie Jones, expert baker, author of The Pastry School and Expressions: Art in Pastry for an in-person masterclass in pie decorating.
Julie has become an Instagram sensation and well-respected author thanks to her beautifully crafted pies and tarts; and now she’s sharing some of her best secrets.
In this class dedicated to decoration, she’ll teach you how to make a delicious and reliable sweet shortcrust pastry. Then you’ll deep-dive into the art of decorating, including pastry latticing, spirals, shaping and how to work with templates and paints.
We’ll provide some seasonal light bites throughout, purposely allowing a generous amount of time for you to focus on perfecting your small but perfectly formed pies. Julie will be by your side guiding you through your designs.
At the end of the class you’ll leave with an abundance of knowledge and confidence and your two freshly prepared bakes: a delicious apple pie and a sumptuous berry pie. Whats more, Julie will give you a copy of her book, Expressions: Art in Pastry!

- It is not essential to book as a pair. Individuals are welcome to book onto this lesson but must be aware that this class requires you to work in pairs and you maybe paired up with another individual for duration of the class
- This is an adult lesson and not suitable for children under the age of 15 years. Those aged between 15-17 must be supervised by an adult for the whole duration of the lesson.
- Only paid guests who are actively taking part in a cookery lesson are permitted to be at the cookery school whilst classes are in progress. We cannot accommodate spectators or provide a waiting area for friends or family members.
